Beginning in 1996, Overbury Resort has established a reputation as an industry specialist having hosted over 100 receptions and countless smaller events. Each wedding is uniquely planned to down the last careful detail, making every wedding as close to perfect as possible. As access to Thetis Island and the other Gulf Islands has steadily improved over the years, more couples are choosing to host their wedding away from the bustle and distractions of the city and choose a more exclusive island location.

At Overbury Resort, we have an experienced planner who will work closely with you to design your perfect wedding weekend. Our professional team will ensure that your guests enjoy every minute of their stay by providing exceptional service and hospitality.

Our chef and her staff will create a mouth-watering menu that has something for everyone, and will delight all of your guests. Choose the wedding cake of your dreams and our pastry chef will create it. Whether your ideal wedding is a small, intimate gathering of family and friends or you plan to invite 125 guests, we are committed to making your special day perfect and distinctly memorable.

Over the months of planning leading up to your wedding, you will have the personal attention of our event planner to help with the smallest of details. With more than a decade of experience, she will assist you each step of the way, from creating breathtaking bouquets and stunning table arrangements, to decorations for the marquee and the pergola. If you require assistance locating a marriage commissioner or minister, photographer or DJ, she can also provide a comprehensive list of local professionals to select from. At Overbury, we offer accommodation for up to 65 guests. If you require additional accommodation, a detailed list of local B&B's can be provided. Most B&B's are located less than 3 km from the resort.

We host weddings throughout the year with the exception of the last two weeks of July and the first three weeks of August. At this time we are open exclusively for vacation rentals. Please be sure to check the calendar for available weekends.
