Overbury Resort is a tranquil, waterfront getaway located on Thetis Island, British Columbia. We provide clean, tasteful accommodations and have built a modest reputation for planning and hosting simple, yet elegant country weddings. Beginning in 1996, owners Norm and Arlene Kasting have hosted almost 200 wedding receptions and countless other events. Though careful restoration of the original farm house and cottages, much of Overbury’s heritage has been preserved. We continue to cultivate organic fruits and vegetables in the agricultural spirit of the original farm, many of which are used in our delicious appetizers and entrees when they are in season. Recently, the focus of our business has shifted from summer vacation rentals to the planning and hosting of events. Recognizing the transition, we have continued to add improvements, starting with our 250m2 event pavilion, spacious marquee, and hundreds of square meters of flower gardens. We are now capable of hosting weddings and retreats for up to 120 guests and can provide comfortable modern accommodations for up to 42 guests and summer accommodation for an additional 23 guests.
